Like Pinky, I too found myself watching The Biggest Loser the other night. I don't know what it is about that show, but I can't stop watching it. They lose so much weight so quickly, it really is almost fiction. I checked up on the website for updates from the first season and they all look great. Now several of them do motivational speaking. I wonder if that just happened or if they went into the program with that goal in mind.
I finally saw Hedwig and the Angry Itch a couple weeks ago. I feel that I missed out not seeing it on the stage or at least in the theaters. I love that the DVD has an option where it just plays all the songs in a row, with the words on the bottom of the screen Karaoke style. nice. I had fun with that.
I'm mostly recovered from the flu. I haven't had such a thorough cleaning out of my system in years. I was unprepared for how weak I felt after wards. Going down two flights of stairs to get my mail was a major undertaking. And I had to rest after wards. I don't know for sure where I got the flu, but I'm going to say it was from the airport restroom. I now really sympathize for all the people who got so sick on those cruise ships. (Before I kind of made fun of them.) It's awful to be that sick, I can't imagine paying a lot of money to go & be sick on a ship.
My apt building has a couple washers & dryers and I pay out the nose to do laundry close to home.* Over a month ago a load of laundry got black marks when going through the dryer. I called and left a message. Twice. Finally I got a call back saying that they wanted to know what I was looking for. I itemized the items, took a few pics and asked for about $30. I was being nice and let's face it, the items weren't new to begin with and they were mostly casual wear so I'd probably keep wearing them anyway. The marks weren't that noticeable on the jeans. A week and a day later I get a phone call. They said that they had talked about it and wouldn't pay for anything, that my renters insurance should pay for it. WHAT? It took you two months to say no? You couldn't have said it to begin with? I really hate my rental company. But I'm staying because I hate moving more.
*Note to self: When looking at apartments, don't just check they have in-building laundry, also check how much they charge.
Glad you're feeling better! Being sick like that is no fun at all!

Good point with that note to self. I must keep that in mind when I move next year.I must have in house laundry. None of this walking to the laundromat crap. No way. What if it's raining?! How am I supposed to carry a laundry basket AND an umbrella?!
Glad you're feeling better. Maybe we can actually get together and knit soon?

The only good thing about the laundromat is that you get to get it all washed at one time and then forget about it for a while.
Glad you're on the road to recovery!
