If you're in the SF Bay Area then come out of the sunshine this weekend and go the Friends of the Library book sale. A huge building filled with tables & tables of books. Heaven on Earth, in my opinion. Last night I went with a couple friends. At the end you could tell who the restained buyer was (clue: not me!).
I scored a couple old sewing books. A Singer Sewing book from 1960, mainly because the cover looks cool. And a Vogue Sewing book from the 1970's. It should be very helpful as it has tailoring help and shows how to adjust patterns to fit your body. Add in a few old books about San Francisco and that was most of my take for the evening. (plus a few knitting things, just because you know, I have to.)
And I'll be going back on Sunday for the dollar days to get an armful (or two) of fiction. Yah Books!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE library sales! I haven't been to one in years, but I always used to go home with paper bags full of great books. I'll have to find out when my library has theirs. You got some good finds :)
