Sunday I was so productive I scared myself. I sewed a project for my secret pal.* Glass etched glasses for a friend (only a year late!). Had a play date with a cat. ** Cleaned my humble abode. And I did some work. The only problem is that when I went into work on Monday, late & smug because I had gotten ahead the night before, I found that the disk was unreadable. I used every swear word in my vocabulary and even made a few up. I had the dilemma of going home and just hauling the hard drive to work 1hr+ and hoping I could get the file off that computer or re-doing the work 1hr+. I ended up just redoing it. Fortunately it was faster the second time around. It was a big project and the results had to be sent to corporate yesterday. The kicker: just around the time I finished our computer people shut down the network for "five minutes" and they couldn't get it back up and running until sometime yesterday evening. So our results didn't go to corporate until this morning anyway. Oh well.
* I am officially the worst secret pal ever. I haven't even sent my second package yet and we're supposed to reveal ourselves. Eeek! I hope my secret pal is understanding.
** I have friends who recently got a cat and they went out of town for one night. One night doesn't really require a cat sitter, but I basically invited myself over to play with her. She's a typical cat and doesn't know if she likes me. Maybe picking her up out of her nice warm bed when she was comfortably sleeping has something to do with it? When my friends are out of town though she is very affectionate towards me so I like to take advantage of her vulnerability. Plus they got some cool new cat toys that make it very fun to play with her.
Oh, no - I've got Late Secret Pal guilt, too. My second (and last) package will go out this weekend. Gotta hope that the contents will make up for the tardiness, at least that's the way I think about it.
Fingers crossed.

Add me to that bad SP list. I meant to send it Sunday, but I haven't made it to the po yet. I'm sure yours won't mind, getting something hand made and all. Etched glasses sound nice. You're sure crafty! :)
