A close up of the embroidery on the cry baby blankets. I simply traced the pattern onto tracing paper, pinned the paper to the blanket and used backstitch to go over the pattern. When I was done I carefully tore the paper away. The best result was when I scored the paper (around the needle work) with a seam ripper and then steamed the paper with the iron. That seemed to make it easier to tear without distorting the needle work.
